Outdoor Allegheny River Services provides canoe and kayak rentals for the Franklin, Pennsylvania Region. We offer trips on French Creek and the Allegheny River from Meadville to Emlenton! Check out our routes.

OARS and Wiegel on the Water have partnered with Paddle Without Pollution to clean up the Allegheny River!  Join us on September 14, 2013 as we clean up the Allegheny River and shore using our kayaks and canoes. FRENCH CREEK FARM SPECIAL

Plan a relaxing weekend on French Creek with the French Creek Farm Special.  Rent a cabin from French Creek Farm in Utica, PA, and add some fun with a canoe or kayak rental from OARS.  The cabin is three bedrooms and sleeps eight, with a full kitchen, a full bathroom, and cable TV.  There is a minimum two-night stay.  The canoe or kayak rentals include life jackets and paddles.

  • March – May (excluding Memorial Day)
    • Cottage: $99.00 per night (Includes free firewood!)
    • Canoe: $40 per canoe for one night, or $50 per canoe for two nights
    • Kayak: $35 per kayak for one night, or $40 per kayak for two nights
  • June – August
    • Cottage: $115.00 per night
    • Canoe: Please call OARS for canoe availability and pricing.
    • Kayak: Please call OARS for kayak availability and pricing.
  • September – October
    • Cottage: $115.00 per night (Includes free firewood and tractor rides!)
    • Canoe: $40 per canoe for one night, or $50 per canoe for two nights
    • Kayak: $35 per kayak for one night, or $40 per kayak for two nights

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

TUESDAY: Student Tuesdays; show your student ID for a $5 discount.

Kids Float from 8 AM to -1 PM. A guided float and lunch for kids ages 10 to 16.  No experience necessary.

WEDNESDAY: Senior Wednesdays; $5 discount for guests age 55 and over.

THURSDAY: Student Thursdays; show your student ID for a $5 discount.

FRIDAY: Kayak & Coffee at 8 AM. Enjoy a cup of java and a breakfast snack, then a morning float.

MONTHLY SCHEDULE

Ladies Only Night: Join us on our popular once-a-month ladies only trip! This is a guided Wednesday evening trip.  Registration begins at 4:30 PM, and we’ll head out on the water at 6 PM.  The cost is $40 and includes instruction, canoe/kayak, paddle, and life jacket. If you have your own gear, the cost is $25.  After the trip, you’ll enjoy a complimentary themed meal and drinks around the fire. The trip changes monthly to different sections of the Allegheny River.  For 2013 dates, please check the event calendar at the bottom of this page.

Couples Night: Imagine a romantic trip for two. You’re both in kayaks or sharing a canoe and you’re floating together, creating memories. When the float comes to an end, waiting for you is a warm fire, a bottle of wine, and a delicious steak dinner, all to be enjoyed under the moonlight.  Welcome to our monthly Couple’s Night!  This is a guided Friday evening trip.  The cost is $50 per couple, and includes canoe/kayak, paddles, life jackets, wine, and dinner.  For 2013 dates, please check the event calendar at the bottom of this page.
